The velodrome shares the Coronation Park Sports and Recreation Centre with the Peter Hemingway Aquatic Centre's 50 m pool and a 333 m running track that circles the boards one level up — making this the first indoor triathlon training centre in North America.
The $153-million building opened in January 2026 with a fitness centre, training studios, a bouldering wall, and two full-size courts inside the track oval. Riders warm up, train, recover, and refuel without leaving the building.
