Race nights and programs run on volunteers — and it's one of the best seats in the house.

You don't need to be a cyclist to volunteer. Whether you're steady under pressure, great with people, or handy with technology, there's a role for you — and you'll be right in the middle of the action.

Volunteer roles

Track marshal

Positioned in the corners, watching for safety and crashes and signaling with flags or a whistle. Great for attentive people.

Whip

An experienced rider who rides inside the novice group to control the pace and keep everyone safe from within the pack.

Holder

Holds riders upright at the start line for time-trial starts. Steady hands required.

Bike check

Manages the rental fleet — pedals tight, tires inflated, seats adjusted for new riders.

Timing operator

Runs the timing software (FinishLynx) from the booth. A tech-savvy role.

Ambassador

Front-desk greeter — the first friendly face new visitors meet.

What you get back

Beyond a great night out, volunteers earn credits — for example, volunteer a couple of nights and race for free. [TBD: confirm the 2026 volunteer credit / perk structure.]
