About the Alberta Velodrome.

The Alberta Velodrome Association is the community-driven, non-profit organization behind Alberta's only indoor velodrome. We grew out of the Argyll Velodrome Association — the volunteers who kept Edmonton's outdoor track alive for decades — and today we operate the 250 m UCI-certified track at the Coronation Park Sports and Recreation Centre.
Our job is simple to say and big to do: put as many people on the track as possible — from a nervous first-timer's first laps to a national-team athlete's training block.
Why we exist
Underneath everything we do is one belief: this building only matters if cycling grows because of it. A world-class track that sits empty is a monument. A full one is a movement.
That's why accessibility isn't a slogan here — it's the strategy. Every school group, every newly certified rider, every packed league night is evidence that the city's investment is working and the sport is getting bigger.
And it's why the pathway runs unbroken from one end to the other: the same association that teaches a ten-year-old to hold their line supports athletes training toward the national team — on the same boards.
