For riders ready to represent, the velodrome is the base for provincial and NextGen development. This is where Team Alberta hopefuls train, and where the national program identifies and develops talent.

Provincial and NextGen selection follows published criteria and time standards set by the provincial and national bodies. The current Team Alberta selection criteria (Road, Track, MTB, Para + CX) are published by the Alberta Bicycle Association, including track-specific selection documents and application requirements.
