Every session on our calendar is underwritten by somebody: the public investment that built the building, the businesses that back race nights and programs, and the individuals whose names are on the seats. This page is where we say so.

Our founding partner

The City of Edmonton.

The Alberta Velodrome sits inside the Coronation Park Sports and Recreation Centre, a $153-million City of Edmonton facility that opened in January 2026 — the end of two decades of advocacy. The City unveiled indoor velodrome plans in 2007, approved the Coronation site in 2012, and approved the Centre itself in 2014.

It is the second track the City has given this sport. Edmonton built the outdoor Argyll Velodrome in 1976–77, and that track carried track cycling in this province for fifty years.
